Something I’ve noticed about myself and my schedule is that it can get very busy really quickly, between house work, feeding the children, studying, and running errands, it’s easy to forget that our children need quality time every day.

According to Dongxu Li (2022), quality time is the essence of our children’s mental health. For our children to grow emotionally and physically strong, we as parents, need to spend time with them. Chinese statistics have shown the positive outcome of children’s well-being if parents spend quality time with their children.
How beautiful is that, that statistics even show that time spent with children is productive to their overall well-being. If we can take a little time each day to make sure they have heard from us, play a game with them (board games, chess, pictionary, etc.), sing with them, help them with their homework, etc. this decreases their risk of mental health problems down the road.

How do you define quality time spent with your child/children? What are some ways you can spend quality time with your child/children? Comment below!
